Stokes Motorsport's had a very successful first NZRC event for the year at the Otago Rally!

Robbie Stokes finished 2nd overall and took home a good haul of points for the championship. Unfortunately, Jack Stokes was forced to retire halfway through Day 2, when a stick punctured his radiator. Jack was only 1.6 seconds off the lead rally at the time.

There were not many stages where Jack and Robbie weren't in the top 3, with the very first stage being a Stokes 1-2! There was a great buzz around the event and lots of interest in both cars, with the battle for the lead being the talk of the rally.

Since the event, the team have been busily preparing both cars for the next NZRC round in South Canterbury on the 10 May. The event looks quite different compared to previous years, with some new stages and other that have not been used for many years.

Robbie was able to do the Auchenflower RD Sprint on April 26 to test out some different set ups on his car. He also came away with the win!

We look forward to watching the Stokes Motorsport team in the South Canterbury Rally!
